The Brakeman
Each car has it's own brakeman that turns the black wheel to adjust the brakes on each car. He then has to lean out, bend over and physically see if the brakes are properly tight.

No showers in the bathroom. Of course the first thing I think of is what a long walk in the middle of the night when you wake up and have to go to the bathroom!!
